Psynopsis Demo · Fictional patients
Two appointments, one patient story.
You can rehearse the conversation without an account. To create a draft note, create a free Psynopsis account or sign in. For tab audio and microphone capture, get the extension in desktop Chrome.
Visit 1: record the initial evaluation
- Select Maya, Jordan, or Riley and Visit 1 · Recorded initial evaluation.
- Create or select the matching synthetic patient in Psynopsis. Start the encounter recording and wait until it is active, then press play in this player. Check that both voices appear in the transcript before continuing. Read the clinician lines during the silent windows and let the prerecorded patient answer.
- Stop and review the transcript. Choose the Initial Evaluation template, then generate and review the draft note. Enter any visual mental-status findings only if you actually observed them.
This is an abbreviated, fictional intake for a product demonstration. It does not replace a complete clinical assessment.
Visit 2: record the follow-up
Select Visit 2 · Recorded follow-up for the same patient. This fictional visit takes place four weeks later. Start a new encounter recording and use the same live clinician and prerecorded patient workflow.
Both tracks begin with six seconds of silence. Clinician lines allow 150 words per minute plus one second of cushion, followed by the patient reply and a short transition. Pause when needed, use Patient reply now to skip unused silence, or Restart this exchange for a retake.
- Web app, in person: play the patient on a separate phone or computer near the recording microphone so it captures both voices. Sound played by the recording computer can be filtered out as echo; use the Chrome extension for a single-computer setup. Audio heard only in headphones will not reach that microphone.
- Chrome extension: capture the player tab and speak into your microphone. Wear headphones so the patient's tab audio is not duplicated through the microphone.
- Phone-call simulation: play the patient from a separate phone or speaker near the microphone. This simulates a conversation and does not place a call.
Finish in Psynopsis
Review each transcript, assign it to the same demo chart, generate the corresponding initial or follow-up note, review the draft, and compare it with the expected facts in the player's expandable checklist.
All people and histories are fictional. Medication doses, visual findings, and billable time are not established by the recorded conversations. The player supplies demonstration material and does not create patient records or clinical notes itself.
